Job Description

IT Security Analyst must possess a thorough understanding of all aspects of computer and network security, including such areas as firewall administration, encryption technologies and network protocols. Analysts need strong oral and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent judgment and self-motivation. They should be able to multitask and work well under pressure. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry security trends and developments, as well as applicable government regulations. Employers generally seek a bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field, along with at least one to three years of practical data security experience. A professional certification such as the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) designation also is a valuable asset.

Typical duties include:
• Performing security audits, risk assessments and analysis
• Making recommendations for enhancing data systems security
• Researching attempted breaches of data security and rectifying security weaknesses
• Formulating security policies and procedures

• Provide internal security consultation to multiple lines of business project teams and product centers, including designing appropriately secure solutions to business problems
• Control objectives and related controls formulation, implementation and auditability.
• Design and document secure solutions for network integrations catalyzed by merger and acquisition activities
• Work with other security team members to develop enterprise security policies, standards and guidelines
• Provide 3rd level incident response guidance and assistance as needed in forensic investigations.
• Collaborates with regional RealPage team members to assure administration and compliance.
• Collaborate with security awareness teams to develop effective employee training.
• Review RealPage security architecture design documents for consistency and compliance
• Assist architects with security engineering and implementation services when appropriate
• Recommend and pilot tools that will assure continued alignment with corporate objectives
• Monitor security mailing lists and news-sources for trends to stay current on security technologies and threats

• Working knowledge of international data protection and privacy laws highly desired
• Working knowledge of SSAE 70 and Sarbanes – Oxley audits highly desired
• CISSP, CISA, or other related security certification
• 1-2 years applied experience with computer security, including risk and vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, operational security, auditing, and baseline standards
• Knowledge of Network Architecture including LAN/WAN protocols, routers, switches, load balancers, hubs, etc.
• Knowledge of Information Security issues including threats, architecture (firewalls, IDS, etc.) and forensics.
• Knowledge of the IT Services and Infrastructure.
• Ability to learn quickly to obtain excellent knowledge about RealPage installed infrastructure, product centers and legacy system environments.         

The Successful Candidate Will:
• Have knowledge in coordinating audit and security plans, on time and on budget
• Understand organizational complexity and have the ability to scale the audit and security systems of the business

• 1+ years of experience in Information Services/Technology industry.
• College Degree in Computer Science Field. Information Systems, MIS, Engineering or equivalent, MBA desired.
• Knowledge in coordinating multiple audits.
• Knowledge in SSAE 16, Sarbanes – Oxley and security audits
• Position requires knowledge security architecture/security engineering background. CISSP and/or CISM preferred
• SSAE 16, ITIL, ISO27001-27002 and COBIT knowledge required.
• Has knowledge with Information Security Governance and establishing a framework to provide assurance that Information Security strategies are aligned with line of business objectives and consistent with applicable laws and regulations.
